In relation to the liberations, "the Government of Ecuador is pleased with this gratifying news on its behalf and that of Ecuadorian people, " the local Chancellery said in a press communicated.
The Chancellery in Quito, permanently claimed that the FARC release Solorzano, and by this purpose, kept "many contacts"with the government in Bogota, Colombia.
The Ecuadorian government also reiterated its "firm rejection and condemns" by the methods, "illegal" used by the armed groups in Colombia, reiterating the demand that all hostages and prisoners must be "promptly released" from FARC guerrillas .

Ecuador government applauded today for the liberation of five held hostage by the guerilla FARC, including Guillermo Xavier Solorzano, who is the son of an Ecuadorian national.
